How many days do we fish?
There is only 1 day of fishing that will take place on Sunday.
Do I need a live well to fish?
Since only live fish count, having a good live well is important. If you are to use the culling permit issued by the
FWC for the Titusville and St. Pete Hunt, you are required to have a minimum 18 gallon bait well. We encourage everyone to
care for our redfish and its environment.
Does the live well have to be attached to the boat?
The well does not have to be part of the boat. The 18 gallon size is only required to use the culling permit when fishing
in Florida. Some anglers will convert a 120 quart cooler to use as a live well.
How do you determine the winner?
This is a spot tournament. The winner is determined by the number of spots on their fish.
How Many people can fish in one boat?
You can have as many people legally allowed in your boat as long as they have all paid.
I want to sponsor a tournament, who do I talk to?
Please visit our Contact Us page, fill out the form and submit it to us.
Do kids have to pay?
Anglers 15 and under do not have to pay as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.
I registered online, but did not receive an email. What should I do?
You may contact us via phone or email. If need be, we can verify your registration has successfully been processed.
Do I need liability insurance to fish the tournament?
Since, anglers are allowed to use different fishing methods, like wade, from the bank, docks, kayak or canoes, we do not
require the insurance minimum. However, having a boat does have responsibilities and having insurance is only good
common sense.
Where and what time do I launch my boat?
For the Hunt there is not a specific starting point. We will determine safe light and announce the starting time at the
Captains Meeting. Starting time will be lines in the water. You can fish anywhere. Therefore you are able to launch at
any ramp. Just remember, you have to be checked in by 2:30 if you think you have a fish that could count.
What if there is a tie?
Most spots win and the earlier check in time wins the tie on numbers of spots.
What time does the raffle and outside events start?
On Saturday starting around 1 PM, we will have some kids and adult casting going on and fishing seminars. On Sunday, the
casting will continue while everyone is fishing and the raffle will start at 3 PM.
Does the fish have to be alive?
Only live fish are counted. If your fish dies while you are walking to the check in table, then you fish will not count.
If your fish dies after it has been checked in, your fish will count.
